Bandicoots, Turtles, Birds and Possums - these are just a few of the hidden treasures of Yakamia Creek right in the heart of town. You are invited by The Friends of Yakamia Creek to come and have an explore, get a chance to plant some local native seedlings to improve the habitat for our furry, feather and shelled friends. Come along and see the work being done by other local residents to improve the Yakamia Creek from almost a drain back to a living, wondrous ecosystem. There could be a bit of weeding or rubbish cleanup but this all goes to making the Yakamia Creek a better place for all.
What to bring
Please bring long pants, enclosed shoes, hat and water. If you have gumboots that might be helpful, but not essential.
